On 2 Sep 2026 Multiverse Computing introduced Quasar 438B as its first large flagship reasoning model for enterprise-scale agents and coding. It runs in English and Spanish and scores 43 on Artificial Analysis Intelligence Index v4.1.1 (nine evals including GDPval-AA, Terminal-Bench, SciCode, GPQA Diamond)—ahead of Mistral Medium 3.5 (30), NVIDIA Nemotron 3 Ultra (38) and Inkling (42), still below Claude Opus 5 (63). Multiverse says Quasar returns 500 tokens (thinking included) in 15.3 seconds and is available through the CompactifAI API without self-hosting. The launch was also on Hacker News.
