On 9 Sep 2026 Suno unveiled Suno v6, saying the new family was trained on licensed data from labels and distributors including Warner Music Group, BMG, and Believe — not on the data used for prior generations. Paying users get base v6 (steerable) and experimental v6 wild; free users get faster v6 mini; older models will be retired. Features include prompt/lyric-region edits and text/image/video references. The launch lands while Sony and Universal suits continue, after a Warner settlement and a BMG deal, and a day after Suno admitted training on YouTube videos.
