Het verhaal
On 8 Sep 2026 Google DeepMind and Google introduced AlphaGenome Atlas, precomputing AlphaGenome’s regulatory predictions across every possible single-letter DNA change in the human genome (~9 billion variants) into a ~1-petabyte resource — more than 30× the AlphaFold Database. The release adds the AlphaGenome Variant Impact (AVI) score, combining AlphaGenome and AlphaMissense signals so researchers can rank coding and non-coding variants without coding; Broad Institute and UK Biobank collaborators already used AVI on rare-disease and complex-trait cases. Access today is via a free non-commercial web portal, the AlphaGenome API, and as a skill in Google Antigravity; commercial Cloud access is listed as coming soon. Not validated for clinical use.
