North Las Vegas has begun the planning process for a 2055 Master Plan that will replace the city’s 2006 plan and set the framework for the next 20 years, with city leaders scheduled to discuss the blueprint Thursday. The 2006 plan centered on population growth, housing, business, parks and transportation; since then the city has added neighborhoods including a 1,500-home community off Losee Road and the 215 and a shopping center in the Hylo Park area. Residents told KTNV they want more small-business and job access, investment in roads, more help for homeless residents and more affordable housing.
