Legal AI startup Harvey announces another $550M round at $15.5B — months after $11B in March — co-led by Diffusion and Lightspeed. >$1.55B raised total; follows recent in-house Harvey Tenet model (from Kimi K3).

On 9 Sep 2026 TechCrunch reported that Harvey, the legal AI company, raised another $550 million at a $15.5 billion valuation, co-led by Diffusion and Lightspeed Venture Partners. That follows a $200M round at $11B in March and an $8B round in December — nearly doubling valuation in about nine months, with more than $1.55B raised overall (PitchBook counts at least eight priced rounds since 2023). The raise comes weeks after Harvey launched its first in-house model, Harvey Tenet, built from open-weight Kimi K3 and post-trained on legal data with Fireworks — and as Harvey pushes customers to adopt and post-train their own open-weight models rather than relying only on frontier labs.
