The city of Henderson told the Review-Journal it asked the Nevada Department of Public Safety’s Office of Professional Responsibility to investigate allegations involving Police Chief Reggie Rader and Deputy Chief Matt Murnane, and has placed Murnane on leave. Officials have not disclosed the allegations; the probe was ongoing as of Aug. 24. Mayor Michelle Romero said DPS is lead, with outside labor counsel, and that the process should play out under the law.
