On 3 Sep 2026 Google launched the Workspace voice features it first showed at I/O in May, branded Gmail Live, Docs Live and Keep Live. In Gmail you ask a Gemini-powered assistant about the contents of your inbox instead of typing a search, with a live transcript of the conversation. In Docs you describe what you want to write and the assistant produces a first draft, pulling context from Gmail, Drive, Chat and the web with permission. Keep Live works as a spoken scratchpad that turns rambling into organised notes and lists. Gmail Live is available to Google AI Plus, Pro and Ultra customers; Docs Live and Keep Live to AI Pro and Ultra. All three are English-only on iOS and Android, with a rollout to Workspace business customers promised soon.
