On 2 Sep 2026 TechCrunch reported that Palo Alto Networks acquired Console for roughly $500 million in cash and stock. Console (founded 2024, ~$29M raised, prior PitchBook valuation ~$157M) builds AI agents that automate IT tasks such as password resets, app access, and routine troubleshooting for customers including Ramp, Flock Safety, and Scale AI. PANW will integrate the product into Cortex so security teams can investigate and resolve alerts in natural language. CEO Nikesh Arora had been an angel investor; the deal is PANW’s seventh acquisition of 2026 and leaves Sequoia-backed Serval as the leading independent AI IT-service automation startup.
