A motorcyclist has died of his injuries after a crash near Stanford Shopping Center, Palo Alto police said. Officers were sent to the 100 block of El Camino Real on Wednesday, August 19, at 4:29 p.m. after a report of a collision between a sedan and a motorcycle. A man in his 20s was thrown from the motorcycle and later died in the hospital.
The motorcyclist was traveling south on El Camino Real. A sedan traveling north, driven by a woman in her 20s, turned left into a business. The motorcycle then collided with the car, police said. The woman stayed at the scene. Police closed El Camino Real between Sand Hill Road and Quarry Road for about three hours for the investigation.
