Shipt (Target) launches Ask Shipt — AI shopping assistant

On 9 Sep 2026 Shipt, Target’s same-day delivery platform, launched Ask Shipt, an in-app AI shopping assistant that turns natural-language prompts into customized ready-to-buy carts. Users can ask for a tailgate for 25, school-lunch packs, or a family meal under $35; uploading a photo of a dish fills the cart with ingredients. It lands the same day as Instacart’s Clementine and follows AI photo search and review summaries already on Target.com; Ask Shipt is live in the Shipt app and on Shipt.com.
