Meta Muse climbs to No. 2 US iOS app after launch

· opgehaald 09:08

Sensor Tower (via TechCrunch, 10 Sep): Muse >83k US iOS downloads, App Store Top Charts No. 2 (from No. 4). Trails Threads/Meta AI debuts and ChatGPT’s first-week pace; Android productivity rank ~338. Web/WhatsApp not counted.

On 8 Sep 2026 Meta’s newsroom introduced Muse as a personal agent that “does the work,” not just chat: messaging-style UX in the Muse app or WhatsApp, powered by Muse Spark, with connectors for email/calendar/health/shopping and browser fallback when no API exists. It keeps working after the app closes and asks approval before sends/purchases; checkout uses Stripe Link (one-time cards + purchase protections), with Shop Pay and 1Password coming. Muse runs in Muse Secure VM with a separate Sentinel agent; Meta says conversations aren’t shared with ads systems, and later plans a Confidential VM with user-held keys. US launch on iOS, Android, and muse.ai (AI glasses later); free for most use, paid Power ($20) and Maximum ($100) for higher usage.
