TechCrunch: human-motion data startup Mecka AI nearing Sequoia-led round at ~$500M — three months after $60M Framework round. Pays people to record everyday tasks for humanoid/robot training.

On 11 Sep 2026 TechCrunch reported Mecka AI, which collects egocentric human-motion data to train humanoid and other robots, is nearing a Sequoia Capital-led financing at about a $500 million valuation (terms not final; size undisclosed). That follows a $60M Framework Ventures-led round only three months earlier (Menlo, SV Angel, Kindred). Co-founded 2024 (Gao, Cheng, Chong, Nguyen), Mecka pays people to record everyday tasks with body sensors and phones — Scale/Mercor-style human data for the physical world. Early June ARR projection was $100M by end-2026; peers include XDOF (~$1.2B talks) plus Scale/Micro1 expanding beyond LLMs.
