Motorcyclist dies after crash on South Rainbow near Mountains Edge

A motorcyclist died Friday after a crash involving another vehicle in the southwest Las Vegas Valley, Metro Police said. The call came in just before 11:45 a.m. PDT on South Rainbow Boulevard near Laguna Creek Avenue and West Mountains Edge Parkway, close to Cactus Drive.

The rider was pronounced dead at the scene. Metro’s Fatal Detail Section is investigating and said it will release more later. FOX5, KSNV and KTNV carried same-hour recasts of the Review-Journal first publish; this remains a developing story.
