Anthropic announces Enterprise Frontier Safeguards (EFS)

· opgehaald 15:27

Anthropic unveiled Enterprise Frontier Safeguards: customer-controlled cloud storage for monitoring data so enterprises get zero-data-retention privacy plus misuse detection. Phased rollout starts later this fall; eligible customers get ZDR on Fable 5/5.1 until then.

Anthropic announced Enterprise Frontier Safeguards (EFS) on 1 Sep 2026 with more than 100 enterprise customers and cloud partners AWS, Google Cloud, and Microsoft Azure. EFS keeps activity data in the customer’s own cloud (S3, Azure Blob, GCS) under customer keys while automated systems still flag cyber/bio misuse and stolen credentials—flags go to the customer for human review, not Anthropic by default. Support covers Claude Code, Claude Enterprise, the Claude Platform, Bedrock, Claude on AWS, Google’s Agent Platform, and Microsoft Foundry. Anthropic does not charge for EFS; cloud storage fees apply. Rollout is phased later this fall; until then eligible customers keep ZDR on Fable 5 and Fable 5.1.
